the pope died today. i don't really care much. while i don't think the answer is necessarily to kill the catholics, it might be nice if they'd just get a fucking sense of perspective.

all the major world religions - every single one of them - started off as cults: very minor sects, sometimes an offshoot of another religion (see christianity) with a few followers that just happened to grow so as to become a major religion. it disturbs me that this shit has happened, and could happen again. can someone just decide, hey, we've been wrong up until now, and this is how we should believe. now do it or you're going to suffer for eternity in the fiery underworld? clearly i speak mostly of the monotheistic world religions [yes judaism/christianity/islam, i'm looking at you], since buddhism and hinduism just have to be different and let you off easy with their little samsara thing, and their little encouraging logic and reason thing.

what the fuck ever. terri schiavo died too, and i don't feel the slightest bit of remorse for saying thank fucking christ. here's an example for all you little pro-ana/mia bitches: if you continue with your little downward spiral, your cerebral cortex is going to become liquid. i suppose you don't care, though, since obviously you must be pretty. stupid little cunts. just bite the bullet and kill yourselves already, okay? what a pussy fucking disease. upper-middle-class white girls, you know. god dammit.

so i suppose i feel some sympathy for her husband, who's been keeping her insecure bulimic ass on life support since 1990, and for her parents. i mean, i guess. it's not the easiest thing in the world, i'm sure, to lose a wife/daughter, and it's a damned shame this had to turn into political bullshit, when really it should have been a private matter. of course, i think her parents were the ones who invoked the almighty justice system, so i guess i can forget about sympathy and just say fuck them too.

you know what would be encouraging? if some people actually dedicated some of their brain cells to learning some actual science, especially politicians. of course, let us remember that anyone who has any desire to get themselves into a position of power should by no means be allowed to get the job. unfortunately, that's the only thing that ever happens. and we wonder why we are where we are. can't have any of them godless heathens in office, can we?

there's not any way for me to make this rant even slightly cohesive, and i apologize. i am so very angry, you see.
